Keyboardist / songwriter and co-founder of the original Rhapsody, Alex Staropoli, is no stranger to change. From the band’s evolution into Rhapsody Of Fire in 2006, to parting ways with guitarist / co-founder Luca Turilli in 2011, to bringing aboard new singer Giacomo Voli in 2016, Staropoli has stood strong and forged ahead even though it looked from the outside like everything was falling apart. With each new change, Rhapsody Of Fire defied the odds and succeeded in winning over fans and critics alike with each consecutive album. Perhaps the greatest test came in the form of the band’s 12th studio album, The Eighth Mountain – released in 2019 – which featured the first saga in the band’s history not written by Turilli, and Voli’s first recorded work as Rhapsody Of Fire’s frontman.

Glory For Salvation would not be a Rhapsody Of Fire album if it wasn’t rooted in a concept, thus it acts as the second chapter of The Nephilim’s Empire Saga, which began with The Eighth Mountain. The saga centers on the argument of redemption and the valor of life. The hero is aware of his mistakes, wants to remedy them in order to seek redemption, and to fight for what is right. Taking things a step into the real world, Staropoli feels the saga can be viewed as the development of an individual; a development that will bring a person to the highest point, which is the complete realization of who he or she truly is. The concept was developed by Roby De Micheli and Staropoli, with the lyrics written by Giacomo Voli and being the very last element added to the musical

NIGHTMARE

Founded in 1979, French heavy metal pioneers NIGHTMARE have been an integral part of the European metal scene for the past three decades, and have been prolific with their album releases, all the while updating and evolving their sound.

Garnering critical acclaim from their opening show to Def Leppard in 1983, debut album ‘Waiting for Twilight’ was released the next year, with follow up ‘Power of the Universe’ coming hot on its heels in 1985. Then the band split up until they released ‘Astral Deliverance’ (1999). Over the following years, this incredibly hard working, prolific band continued to release albums & tour worldwide, playing some of the biggest metal festivals like Wacken, Hellfest, 70,000 Tons Of Metal, Gods Of Metal and supporting the likes of Sabaton, Saxon, Grave Digger, Blind Guardian

With the moniker ‘the best heavy metal export out of France’ firmly under their belts, new album ‘The Burden Of God’ was released to critical acclaim in 2012, seamlessly combining the band’s classic power metal roots with symphonic and contemporary elements. ‘The Aftermath’ was released May 2014 and marked the end of the band’s collaboration with vocalist Jo Amore and drummer David Amore, with the band vowing to return stronger than ever. In 2016, Maggy Luyten (Beautiful Sin, Beyond The Bridge, ex-Ayreon) took over vocal duties on new album ‘Dead Sun’, with the band touring this release for upwards of three years before Maggy decided to move on.

2020 sees NIGHTMARE back, unbowed, unbreakable and inspired, ready to take their music to a whole new level. They return with hugely talented female vocalist, Madie (Faith In Agony) on the mic, and have recorded their most ambitious album to date, ‘Aeternam’, released on 2nd October 2020 on AFM Records.

PHANTOM ELITE

Co-founded by singer Marina La Torraca (Exit Eden, Avantasia [live vocalist]) and former After Forever founder and guitarist, Sander Gommans. The debut album “Wasteland” (2018) and its accompanying well received Europe Tour, showed that Phantom Elite is ready to take flight. With a new line-up and stronger than ever, “Titanium” is a debut with Frontiers Records and the band’s second album.
